THE POWER OF A KITTY PURR

I have always loved cats, domestic and wild, I like them because they are so damn independent!! They don't need me, they can get along fine without me, but they choose to be your friend on their own terms. Unlike a dog that really don't survive alone, but seek out other dogs to help them survive, cats do very well without any help. They are not 'needy' , I am at a stage in my life where I have 'taken' care of others long enough, although hubby don't count in this I just don't want to have to take care of another critter or person, cats fit the bill nicely, although I am not owned by any pets at this time since I am full time on the road, if I had my rathers , if and when I am home all the time , a cat would be my first choice, although I love dogs, I hate barking dogs the most,, cats don't bark and that is another plus, although if I were alone, I would have a medium to large dog for guardian purposes, but I would have a cat as a companion, and to find out the healing values in their purr......another plus! Another thing is that you don't have to pen them up or tie them up, I hate seeing dogs in little kennel pens, or on a lease tied to a tree somewhere far from their masters home, If I could not provide a huge penned up yard to house my dog,and had to put them on a lease, I would not have one, I find that to tie up a dog or put them in these little pens are abuse! and I wish more people would wise up to how pittyful they have made these dogs lives, I personnally believe it you can't provide the adequate space for these critters to have a good life, you shouldn't be able to have one...........I for years did this to these poor critters, and I have vowed never again.

blessed be.........purrrrring away

THIS ARTICLE FROM  LIVING  WITH CRYSTALS NEWSLETTER FROM RAINBOW CRYSTAL WEB.
The Power of Purr

When I was first learning about crystals and vibrations, my idea of vibration was a cat's
purr, and I wondered what kind of healing could be accomplished by placing a cat on each
chakra. The research I did for this article suggested that this would be a very good
idea.

If you are owned by one or more cats, you probably already know the roles they play as
healers in your life, but you may enjoy having some details and statistics: both to
persuade your cat-loving but holistically-indifferent friends that there might be
something to this vibration business. Those who are holistically inclined but indifferent
to cats may gain a deeper appreciation of my favorite species.

I've simplified the technical information so that I could understand it. I hope it works
for you, too.

Purring is Good for Cats

Scientists have determined that cats, including pumas, lions, tigers, ocelots, cheetahs,
etc., usually purr in the range of 20 to 140 Hertz (Hz). (1 Hertz means a vibrating
structure moves back and forth once per second. A domestic cat usually purrs at a
frequency of 25 and 50 Hz.
This is important because:

Research has demonstrated that exposure to a frequency of 25 Hz increases bone density by
at least 20%.
Veterinarians, who've known this for a long time, say that if you put a cat
and some broken bones in the same room, the bones will heal. This may also explain why
cats rarely suffer bone or joint related diseases, including hip dysplasia, arthritis and
ligament problems, or bone cancers.

Not only bones are affected by purring. Other research has demonstrated that, in the
higher frequency ranges, the body produces an increase of natural anti-inflammatory
compounds. This reduces joint pain and swelling and results in the healing of muscles,
tendons, and ligaments.

Purring also seems to open up a cat's air passages, thus reducing the incidence of
respiratory problems. The respiratory difficulties often associated with heart disease
are rarely found in cats, and all breathing problems a cat may have are quickly
alleviated when the cat begins to purr. A story in the New Zealand Veterinary Journal
(1973) described a dying cat who was having so much trouble breathing that its vet was
considering euthanasia. However, once it started to purr, it began to breathe normally.
Purring seemed to open its air passages.

The cat's ability to change the frequency of its purring is probably one of its
fine-tuning healing abilities. It may account for domestic cats living longer lives than
their canine counterparts and may also have given rise to the idea that cats have nine
lives.
They survive conditions that normally kill other animals, such as falls from heights. In
a study of 132 cat falls with an average fall height of 5 ½ stories, 90% survived. The
record height for a cat falling and surviving is 45 stories.

Purring is Good for Humans

Cat fans have always believed a cat’s purr was relaxing or stress reducing. Stress
reduction alone can lead to countless health benefits.

Many people report that lying in bed with a purring cat helps them go to sleep easily.
Others have noticed that their cats seem to know when they're not feeling well and the
location of the pain. Have you ever had a stomachache that was eased by a cat purring in
your lap?

A friend of mine who was going through a serious psychological disorder discovered that
every time she was lying in bed shaking with fear, her cat would dash from the living
room and curl up beside her, purring loudly. This feline nursing procedure got her
through a number of rough spots.

Now science is beginning to confirm what we cat lovers have always known. Studies have
shown that owners, especially senior citizens, who have cats have lower blood pressure
and can live longer than humans who don't own pets
. Scientists are now researching
whether sound and vibration therapy could halt osteoporosis, or renew bone growth in
post-menopausal women and the elderly.

Other Studies

Psychologist Dr. June McNicholas of Wales is a strong advocate for allowing pets to visit
their people who are in hospitals. She believes that animal companionship can assist the
healing process.

She and some colleagues found that:

    * Cats provide considerable emotional support during the early stages of spousal
bereavement.
    * Cats can provide support for women with breast cancer.
    * In general, cat owners have fewer psychological and physical health problems than
those without cats.
    * 90% of children with cats rate their felines as being in their top ten special
friends.

The children are smart in their choices. A study by the Institute of Paediatrics and
Adolescent Medicine in Munich found that young children continuously exposed to cats were
67% less likely to develop allergic asthma. 45% were less susceptible to developing hay
fever than other children.

Researchers at Warwick University in the UK also found that children who own pets have
stronger immune systems and take fewer days off school due to illness.

The Element of Detachment

Humans are accustomed to getting a dose of pity with treatment. We expect our caretakers
to say, "I'm so sorry." "Oh, I feel so badly for you." "What an
awful thing happened to you."

We forget that when we're vibrating in a state of feeling sorry for ourselves, feeling
miserable and hurt, we aren't making ourselves feel better. A confirmation that the
physical/emotional place we currently occupy is unpleasant and undesirable only serves to
help keep us there.

The cat sends no "Get Well Soon" cards. It doesn't sit by your bed looking
sympathetic. It doesn't say "Poor thing." It gets on your lap and purrs. It
doesn't look to be rewarded for its healing work. It's not thinking, "I want you to
think I'm great because you feel better." And if you don't feel better, it isn't
going to feel worse.

This may be vibrational healing at its best. No ego is involved, and the feline healer
doesn't have an investment in the outcome. It purrs because purring feels good.
Rainbows don't shine for our benefit, either, but we love to see them.

A Message from Mother Earth to me this morning.

As I stood out on my back step this morning I asked Mother Earth & Spirit to speak to me this day and asked for a sign as to what I need to dwell on this day, and what I needed to apply to my life.

I looked up and on a branch near my head sat a hummingbird on a little limb just looking at me. I then realized that He was my message bearer today: Thank you Mother Earth, and Spirit, and little hummingbird, for such a quick response.

The last few days have been hard on me physically. Last night specifically. I had a major flare up of my Arthritis and Fibromyalgia. The pain and stiffness was terrible. Of course I let it get me down, depressed over how this pain takes control over my life and well being. My husband was a true loving soul that gave me such TLC last night and helped me not to get overwhelmed in my self pity.

I am not a very 'religious' person, and finding a spiritual path, that nurtures my body and soul has been the foremost on my journey thus far. Try as I might, I have dug deep into Christianity many times over the years, trying to make it my path, and try as I have, it never satisfies the longing in my soul for that inner connection, reading the bible as much as I have, I know that the words are just that, words, and one needs the  help of Spirit to make those words mean something more than it does in the letter. Those pages don't give up it's secrets without a total dedication to the God of that book, that it  requires of one. May be I have just not been 'that' dedicated, although at the time I thought I was.

But on the other hand when I seek guidance and love and reassurances from Mother Earth, And Spirit her messages have always been just right and Her responses quick and when they are needed. This path of Wicca, Witchcraft, paganism, nature spirituality have always , and I mean ALWAYS have given me the gentle nudges, and messages I have needed, in a timely manner, NEVER has Mother Earth and Father Sky, Grandmother Moon, and Grandfather Sun, ever let me down, a well placed rainbow here when I needed an answer, an Owl there,An Eagle here, an Heron there, a Snake here, a Humming bird here, they have all come bearing their messages from SPIRIT when I needed them most. Each time the messages have been exactly what they should have been for the situation I was in...................I am amazed , humbled, and happy, and full of joy, to know that truly I am never alone, and that Great Spirit is always mindful of our needs.

May I be able to take the Hummingbirds message for me this day! For I truly desire Joy to return in my life, I need healing, persistance in seeking the path of Wholeness and Health, I need renewed Vitality back into my life. May the Hummers essense help me to find the peace I need. I find it interesting that the symbol is an infinity sign, the number 8 which is mine birth number!

THANK YOU.

BLESSED BE.

It is not commonly known that the fluttering wings of the hummingbird move in the pattern of an infinity symbol - further solidifying their symbolism of eternity, continuity, and infinity.

By observing the Hummingbird, we see they are seemingly tireless. Always actively seeking the sweetest nectar, they remind us to forever seek out the good in life and the beauty in each day.

Amazing migrators, some Hummingbirds are known to wing their way as far as 2000 miles to reach their destination. This quality reminds us to be persistent in the persuit of our dreams, and adopt the tenacity of the Hummingbird in our lives.

The most profound questions the Hummingbird asks is:

  • "Where is your joy?"
  • "Is your happiness found within, or do you seek it externally?"
  • "What is the source of your joy?"
  • "What must you do to increase your joy?"

The Hummingbird animal totem most important message to you is:
"The sweetest nectar is within!"

WBC HATE MONGERS

What a sad sad group of people, who claim to speak for our Creator, instead , they speak from an evil pit of disgrace , hypocrisy, and hate. Their words of hate reveal an evil heart in these people.

WBC Hatemongers to Protest Carlin Funeral

Friday June 27, 2008
Our favorite fanatical family is as it again. The hatemongers at Westboro Baptist Church have announced that they plan to protest the funeral of comedian George Carlin, who died last week at the age of 71. Carlin, an avowed atheist, came under all kinds of fire during his lifetime, and seems to be catching just as much flack now that he's dead. Fred Phelps and his clan of bigots are going to show up and cause a scene at Carlin's memorial service, and their rambling press release refers to him as a "potty-mouth", apparently in hopes of appealing to the pre-school demographic amongst their flock. They also remind us that he "made lots of money making fun of God." Well, yeah, but he made fun of everything else too -- that's one of the things that made Carlin so brilliant. According to WBC, Carlin will be joined in hell by Jerry Seinfeld and Keith Olbermann.

Actually, that sounds like the opening line to a great joke: "So Jerry Seineld, Keith Olbermann, and George Carlin walk into hell..."

You're familiar with the WBC gang -- they're the delightful group of people who feel that it's okay to protest the funerals of fallen American soldiers, at which they show up holding signs that say the most vile things imaginable. They've even been ordered to pay restitution to at least one family, but that hasn't stopped them yet. I'm wondering if any members of the Patriot Guard will show up at Carlin's services?

Anyway, as my special gift to Fred Phelps and his minions, in honor of George Carlin, I present the Seven Words You Can't Say on TV (warning: don't open this at work). Wherever you may be, George, thanks for making us think while we laughed.

MAMMOGRAM RESULTS

Well all's well with my precious boobies, had my second mammogram yesterday and good news, for me and my hubby, my boobs are good to go................

what a scary process we must go through to find out the results of any test we might have, that has the potential to really change one's life. As I sat there in the waiting rooms, all these women in there waiting to have a mammogram done, some their first 'showing' and some of us our second, and others who have been diagnosed there to see if they are all better or not. What was strange is unlike other waiting rooms I have been in, this one, was so quiet, every women there speaking not a word, all caught up in their minds, either with hopes, or fears of what might lie ahead. What an ordeal, and what a potential of great changes ahead according to the prognosis, as I waited in the final 'conference' room to await the radiologist to come in their with her findings, your mind is racing around from hope, to dread, to faith, to fear all in a matter of few moments. As the radiologist comes in you search her face to see  if she has on a face of concern, or happiness for you at the results, She comes in and says I am all right , no concerns over the nodule in my breast, and that she was relatively positive that it was benign....................

But for those women who get a negative response, my heart goes out for you all, and may our Creator be with you!

So I am thankful that , this is one worry I can shelf, and now proceed with trying to get a handle on the other health issues, that I am dealing with. I am hoping to come up with a very holistic approach to getting all better!

blessed be

Using Color In Magik

The Significance Of Color Think of your magik as a way of joining forces with the energy in nature. All energy vibrates with it's own sound or frequency, and it's own color. You want to compliment natures energy with your own, and with your choice of tools to represent the energy you are attempting to create. But how do you know what color goes with what energy? Like all things, it depends on how you want to approach or utilize the energy.   You can chose colors based on energy, on the chakra system, or your personal symbology. Which ever method you chose, you should stick to that interpretation. So write it down! Within my tradition, we use a color table based on the chakra system for healing.   A Color Table Below is a table of the varying ways to look at or represent color in your magikal exercises. This is just a guide based on our view, so don't take this as the only way to represent color in your magikal exercises. Research and practice for ourself to find the best combination for you.

Colors  The Chakra System  An Energy System
White For Divine Spiritual Work, such as prayer, increasing your spiritual knowledge, meditation, etc. For purity and/or protection. Can also be used for general magik or as a symbol of the divine forces.
Purple For Psychic work, such as divination, psychic communication, psychic development, channeling, etc. For heightened spiritual awareness, self-esteem, and high ideals.
Light Purple: For actively working on the balance of each aspect of life (personal, spiritual, professional), attitudes and acceptance of others, and existence with other life.
Mid-Dark: For intense spiritual work to evolve onces soul through knowledge and experience.
Dark Green For matters of the heart, such as love, compasion, patience, heart conditions, etc. For Healing
Light Green shades, for the onset or potential emotional or physical injury.
Darker Green shades, for an injury that has already occurred and is in the process of healing.
For Americans, green can also be used for financial abundance. Other culture may prefer to use a color that represents currency in their country.
Light Green
Yellow to Gold
For protection, strength, courage or increasing your "gut feeling" or psychic feelers Yellow: For clearity, intelligence, wisdom, and success.
Gold: For overcoming jealousy, selfishness and negative perceptions.
Orange For stabilizing emotions, increasing abundance or conducting money spells For creating confidence, ambition, pride, self-sufficiency.
Red For grounding your energies, increasing physical pleasure, as well as problems with impotence or fertility For combating fear or anger, self hatred or negative emotions.
Brown For Spells of Justice, such as helping a law suit, combating a lie or deception In general, for combating selfishness, deception, confusion or discouragement.
Light Brown: For over coming lack of confidence in ones self.
Dark Brown: For overcoming selfishness, fault finding, and a tendency toward deception.
Blue For working with pride, adoration, or dedication.
For masculine emotions, or energies. As a representation of the God.
For helping to find your way, spiritually searching.
Lighter blues generally indicate a beginning of a spiritual quest, a journey that will fill the 'missing' pieces of ones current existence.
Darker blues are typically used when one has their spiritual path and is continuing their education.
Pink For feminine emotions, or energies. As a representation of the Goddess. Different cultures represent love or the heart with different colors; a common American color would be pink for love or red for matters of the heart.
Black For overcoming hatred, negativity, depression and miserly. If used in a ritual for undoing, you can create energies to reverse these emotions. For undoing a spell that has been cast upon you, for creating confusion or stress (please remember what you put out you will get back. We only conduct spells of undoing when we're working a case with the police. We ask for confusion and stress within the body and mind of the criminal who the police are trying to capture. In this way, we hope the criminal will make a mistake in their actions that will help the police find the evidence, clues and information needed for an arrest and conviction.)

The Chakra System

The Energy Vortices Of The Body Chakras are the energy vortices at a sub-atomic level of your spiritual body. They are the spiritual DNA holding the trace memories from past lives and act as the input centers for the cells of the body. The chakras are the physical manifestation of the soul in the human body. Simply put, the Chakras are the Soul in physical form.   There are varying schools of thought about how many centers there are within the body, and the exact placement of these centers. Hatha Yoga for instance indicates 7 major centers. I have come to rely on the Tibetan view which indicates 9 centers energy centers.   Where are the Chakras? The Chakra Centers - SpringWolf Designs The chakras can't be seen with the physical eyes, x-rays, MRIs or radio scans. But it can be seen and felt from a pyshic perspective through meditation, or by a spiritual healer.   As with all energy, each center contains the 3 basic characteristics of movement (speed), vibration (sound) and color. Each vortex carries a special energy level that causes the chakra to spin at varying speeds, which generates a unique sound and generates a unique color to that particular vortex.   Most of the chakras spin in a clockwise direction. The slowest movement of spin is at the Root chakra. As you move up the body toward the head, the chakra centers begin to spin faster. The only centers that spin in a counter-clockwise motion are the Pancreas/Spleen chakras, primarily because of their position within the body. Where as all the other chakras face forward like a round clock, the Pancreas/Spleen sit sideways in the body, almost like a bar-bell.   The movement of each chakra gives the center a unique energy pattern that provides a focus or purpose within the body. For instance, when you are working on issues of choice (or will), you're working with the Thyroid chakra. When you working on matters of transformation within your life, you're working on the Solar Plexus chakra.   The following is a description of the chakras from a Tibetan perspective, their placement, color and function. By understanding any chakra system you can focus energy within your being to areas that need assistance, healing or that you feel you'd like to improve or work on.   Pineal (Crown, 1st vortex) Located at the top of the head. Also known as the "crown chakra" it represents the beginning. This is a person's connection to the cosmic consciousness and their conscious connection to their super conscious or Divine Self mind. The fastest spinning center, this chakra vibrates the brightest light. The color that most describes this energy level is pure white. Pituitary (2nd vortex) Located between the brows, in the center of the forehead. Also known as the location of the "third eye", this chakra is considered to be the gateway to the higher self. It reflects the oneness of the individual spirit with the oneness of the Universal Divine Spirit. This is also where you receive spiritual communications through vision or ethereal sight. This is where you "see" from a psychic perspective, much like the solar plexus "feels" from a psychic perspective. This chakra vibrates with a violet glow. Thyroid (3rd vortex) Located in the throat. This chakra represents the Will center or the center of choice. It is the coming together of the higher and lower chakras creating the sound of choice, what you say or want to say, whither it's vocalized or not. It is the source where spiritual will blends with physical choices. This chakra vibrates with a blue glow. Thymus (4th vortex) Located in the center of the chest, next to the heart. Also called the heart chakra, it synthesizes the spiritual and physical natures in harmony, love and compassion. This is the center of unconditional love both internal to the individual person and external to others and situations that occur in ones life. It is considered to be the center of Divine love or creation/expression of Divine love. This chakra vibrates with a green glow. Solar Plexus (5th vortex) Located where the rib cage meets at the bottom. It represents the creative center, where transition takes form and shape. This center fosters the co-creation with the soul and helps the physical body manifest issues, situations and so on. It works with the pituitary chakra to receive ethereal information and process it on a conscious level. Where the pituitary "sees" ethereal energy, the solar plexus "feels" ethereal energy. This could be the source of the saying "gut feelings". This chakra vibrates with a bright yellow glow. Adrenals (6th vortex) Located just a little up and behind the solar plexus. This chakra represents the protection center. This is where the body holds onto the karmic lessons for this lifetime. It links the spiritual blueprint to the physical embodiment. This center vibrates with a yellow glow, surrounded with a green border. Pancreas (7th vortex) Located below and to the right of the solar plexus, the Pancreas chakra governs how we honor our physical kingdom. It helps us to maintain our physical nature in balance with our spiritual natures. Helping to ensure we are caring for both to live as a balanced healthy 'whole' individual. This center vibrates with an orange glow, much like the color of a pumpkin. Spleen (8th vortex) Located below and to the left of the solar plexus, the Spleen chakra is the rejuvenation center. It helps the spiritual body heal itself after a karmic lesson has been successfully resolved, or when too much energy is put out to others or to a situation. Like the Pancreas center, this chakra vibrates with a pumpkin color. Root (9th vortex) Located at the base of the spine, at the cervix. The last and slowest spinning chakra this center governs security and the grounding of ones energies. This is the security of the soul in this embodiment for guarantee of physical health, well-being and survival.   When the Kundilini energy first opens the spiritual body, it begins here at the base of the chakra system in the Root center. Because this center is located within the area of the reproductive organs, Tibetan schools teach that kundilini energy will not fully begin to flow until these organs are fully developed and functional. In other words, this energy begins to flow and open other charka centers at the time of puberty.   The upper chakras (from the solar plexus up) are the perennial chakras that progress through each physical embodiment. These energy centers hold the memories, the talents and the past knowledge of all previous incarnated lifetimes of a person. Carrying those memories and talents out of one lifetime and into another for continued work. The lower chakras are the annual energy centers. These chakras are re-created anew with each embodiment.   What Do Chakras Do? As we progress through each embodiment, the lessons and energy we experience on a day-to-day basis will stimulate a particular chakra center. The chakras affect the regulatory flow of energy, which results in an effect of the physical body. Or simply put, the chakras energy manifests in the body when we're working on issues that relate to the purpose or function of that chakra. For instance: If you're working on matters of "will", such as choosing not to stand up for yourself and speak your mind, then you may experience disturbances in your throat. If you constantly holding back how you feel, or how you WANT to express yourself, you may develop a sore throat. The longer you ignore the lessons brought to you by this energy vortex, the more severe the disturbance in the physical body will become. The sore throat turns into strep throat and so on.   When you learn the positive force of the lessons you experience, and can move the spirit forward, the energy of the chakra works with you instead of against you. A person who can speak their will, without negative comments, can become a wondrous singer for instance.   How To Clear Chakra Energy Contrary to popular belief, hold or possessing a certain kind of crystal, lighting a particular colored candle or burning special type of incense will not clear the adverse energy in or around a chakra. The essence of the energy within the chakra is based in your spirituality. You have created the situations that are currently present in your life giving you opportunities to learn lessons and repay karma. How would you be served if all you needed to do to clear that energy is run down to the neighborhood park and find a piece of crystal? The objects can help aid in your mission to learn, or work through your karma. But they can't take it away.   If you'd like to work on clearing your chakras, then you need to look at the karma that is present in your life and how that karma is being reflected in your chakra(s). The best way to move forward is to learn more about karma.   Connection To Spiritual Evolution Because our Chakra System is the physical manifestation of the soul in the body, it is also part of our connection to the Divine. The Chakra centers are also divided into 7 levels of spiritual energy. These energy levels help to connect us to the greater structure of the Divine Universe, or what many would term as the Spiritual Realms.
